Fred Esplin


Until his retirement, Fred Esplin was Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the University of Utah, following a long career as manager of KUED-TV, Utah's Public TV station. Prior to that he worked at PBS in Washington and for the Pennsylvania Public Television Network. Fred has served on the boards of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Utah Arts Council, and the Utah Humanities Council. While he has extensive experience in non-profit fund-raising and management, hs only claim to fame in theater was as a high school student as Snug the Joiner in A Midsummer Night's Dream with Utah Shakespeare Festival. Fred is a native of Cedar City where his family still runs a cattle ranch on the North Fork of the Virgin River.
